Ivy Madness Next as Yale Defeats Princeton in Regular-Season Finale

Yale defeated Princeton 81-59 Saturday night in Jadwin Gym, but the Tigers' season will continue next weekend at the Ivy League Tournament at Yale.
Princeton will be the third seed and will face second-seeded Harvard at 3 p.m. Saturday. Top-seeded Yale will host fourth-seeded Penn at noon in the first semifinal.
Against the Bulldogs, Richmond Aririguzoh led three Tigers in double figures with 15 points. Myles Stephens added 13 to move into 10th place on Princeton's all-time scoring list, now at 1,332 points, and Max Johns added 10. But, Yale outshot Princeton 47.5 percent to 37.5 percent from the field and added to that with a 38-33 rebounding edge while benefiting from 17 Tiger turnovers and giving up just seven of its own. Blake Reynolds led three Bulldogs in double figures with 20 points.
All three Tiger seniors, including Stephens, Noah Bramlage and Elias Berbari, played in the game.
Princeton led early at 4-2 five minutes into the game and led last at 7-6 seven minutes in, but Yale went on a 10-3 run over three minutes and never trailed from there. Princeton was within eight at 41-33 less than three minutes into the second half, but Yale scored the next five points and held a double-digit lead the rest of the way.
