Gabriel Morgan, Henry Parkhurst Announced As Captains For 2019-20 Men's Squash Team

After playing critical roles in helping lead the Princeton men's squash team to a thrilling late-season run and back to the top flight of the CSA team championships, rising seniors Gabriel Morgan and Henry Parkhurst have been named co-captains of the 2019-20 Tigers.

Morgan led all Princeton players with 14 wins this past season, which followed an injury-plagued sophomore year when he was limited to only one match. One of two Tigers to post a perfect 3-0 record at the CSA team championships, Morgan punctuated arguably Princeton's biggest win in years; he secured the final win to clinch 5-4 victory over Columbia, Princeton's highest-ranked win since 2013.

Morgan will enter next season with 25 career victories, and he has proven over the years to be one of Princeton's best big-match players.

Parkhurst made a huge jump during his junior season, winning five more matches than his previous year. Like Morgan, he showed impressive toughness when it mattered most, as Parkhurst posted wins in late-season 5-4 wins over both Columbia and Cornell. He added wins over Dartmouth in both the regular season and at the CSA team championships.

Parkhurst experienced success off the court as well; he was one of two men's players to earn CSA Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2018-19 season.

"As we continue to add to the young talent on our roster, I can't think of two better leaders to show how to thrive as a Princeton men's squash player. They are leaders on and off the court, and I believe our team is in good hands as we look to build off an exciting finish to last season."
