150 Years of Princeton Football: Chapter 1 - The First Game

In celebration of the 150^th anniversary of college football and Princeton's role as one of the first two teams to play the sport, a 10-week documentary series – 150 Years of Princeton Football – is being produced by the Department of Athletics. Episode 1: The First Game revisits the inaugural contest between Princeton and Rutgers on November 6, 1869.

The series will trace Princeton's history and tradition as a leader in college football, from that first game back in 1869 through last year's perfect season. A new episode will be introduced each Tuesday on GoPrincetonTigers.com and through the football and athletic department social media channels.
