No. 14 Princeton Drops Contest vs. No. 5 USC

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The No. 14 Princeton Tigers started off the first day of the MPSF Invitational with a 14-6 loss to the No. 5 USC Trojans at the Burns Aquatic Center on Friday evening.
The Tigers started off quickly with the first two tallies of the game from Casey Conrad and Yurian Quinones, but the Trojans ran off a 6-2 push over the final five minutes of the frame to take a 6-4 advantage.
No. 5 USC extended its lead in the second stanza to five, 9-4, before a goal by Wyatt Benson set the contest at 9-5 at halftime. The Tigers never threatened in the second half as USC rolled off four consecutive goals to open and picked up a 14-6 victory.
Princeton continues the invite tomorrow with a battle vs. No. 13 Loyola Marymount at 3 p.m. EST (12 p.m. PST).
