Princeton Athletics 2019-20 Year In Review
August 03, 2020 | General
The 2019-20 athletic year at Princeton was unlike any that has preceded it, that's for sure.
Princeton had already won a league-best six Ivy League championships, including the unprecedented 500th title in program history, and was sitting in 28th place in the NACDA Directors' Cup standings. There were 18 nationally ranked teams who were still competing, and Princeton was poised for some historic achievements.
And then the pandemic hit, shuttering college campuses - and athletics - almost on a dime. The end of competition was painful, but it did open the door for a different kind of challenge than any of the athletes, coaches and administrators at Princeton had ever faced.
