No. 12 Princeton sinks Santa Clara in thrilling 12-11 victory; Julian Fraser tournament continues with two ranked opponents up next for the Tigers

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The No. 12 Princeton Tigers earned a thrilling 12-11 victory over the Santa Clara Broncos at the Sullivan Aquatic Center.
The Tigers only trailed once the whole game, allowing the opening goal before going up 4-2 at the end of the first quarter.
In the second quarter, the Tigers and the Broncos each scored two goals apiece, Princeton taking a 6-4 halftime lead.
Santa Clara scored two straight goals to start the second half, tying the game at 6. Keller Maloney responded back with his third score of the day, giving the Tigers a one goal lead. Maloney tallied his fourth goal of the match with just seconds remaining in the third quarter, giving the Tigers a 9-7 lead going into the final frame.
Mitchell Cooper opened the scoring in the fourth quarter, giving his team a three goal cushion. The Broncos rallied by pulling within one goal twice, before eventually tying the game at 11-all. But with nine seconds left in regulation, George Caras found the back of the net, lifting the Tigers to a 12-11 victory.

Princeton continues its West Coast road trip with two ranked matches on Saturday. The Tigers will take on No.19 Air Force at 12:50 p.m. (9:50 a.m. PT) and then battle No. 10 San Jose State at 7:30 p.m. (4:30 p.m. PT).
