No. 10 Princeton Takes Down No. 16 Fordham, 17-8, In Opening Round of NCAA Tournament

PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 10 Princeton Tigers easily disposed of the No. 16 Fordham Rams, 17-8, to advance to the next round of the NCAA Tournament.
It was the program's first NCAA victory since 2011. Princeton will now take on No. 1 UCLA on Dec. 2 at 6 p.m. (3 p.m. PT).
Even at 2-all in the first quarter, the Tigers used a 4-1 push to end the frame to take a 6-3 lead after eight minutes. Head coach Dustin Litvak's squad led by as many as five before holding an 8-5 advantage at the break.
The turning point of the contest was Princeton's five consecutive goals to end the third stanza, taking a 15-6 lead into the fourth frame. The Tigers were not threatened the rest of the way. This was Princeton's 26th win of the season, setting a new program record.
