Women's Fencers Get Four Top-Six Wins in Sweep at Penn Duals

Princeton's women's fencers, ranked No. 3 in the nation entering the weekend, went 5-0 at the Penn Duals on Sunday and defeated the nation's No. 1-, No. 2-, No. 5- and No. 6-ranked teams on the way.
The Tigers defeated No. 1 Notre Dame, No. 2 Columbia, No. 5 Ohio State and No. 6 Northwestern, as well as a win over Yale, to finish the weekend sweep, which included a pair of wins at Temple's Philadelphia Invitational on Friday. One of those two wins was over the No. 8-ranked host Owls. The five wins on Sunday moved Princeton's women's record to 19-0 on the season.
The No. 4-ranked Tiger men faced each of the nation's top three-ranked teams among their four matches on the day, getting a win against No. 10 Yale. The outcome moved Princeton's record on the men's side to 12-5 on the season.
Princeton's teams will compete again next Sunday at the MIT-hosted Eric Sollee Invitational.
