Perfect Ivy Season Earns Ibrahim Player of the Year Honor

A sweep through Ivy League play on the top court has earned Princeton senior Youssef Ibrahim recognition as the Ivy League Player of the Year, the league office has announced.

Ibrahim went 6-0 in league play and will take an overall winning streak of 10 consecutive wins into this weekend's CSA team tournament. Four of Ibrahim's six Ivy wins came in sweeps with two in five-game wins.

Ibrahim is the eighth Tiger to earn Ivy Player of the Year honors, and with multi-time winners, it's the 15th time a Princeton player has earned the Ivy Player of the Year honor.

Ibrahim, who was also the 2018 Ivy Rookie of the Year, earned first-team All-Ivy recognition for the third time in his career, along with 2018 and 2020.

Cole Becker, an electrical engineering major, was Princeton's designee for Academic All-Ivy in men's squash. Becker played all six Ivy matches on court four and played between courts three, four and five over the course of the season.
