Fencing Teams Win Eight of Nine Sunday at Philly Invite

The top-ranked Princeton women's fencing team and the fifth-ranked men finished up the Philadelphia Invitational Sunday at Penn with the men going 4-0 for a 6-0 finish on the weekend and the women going 4-1 for a 6-1 finish.
The men knocked off No. 1 Notre Dame, 16-11, as well as No. 3 Ohio State, 18-9, as two of the team's three top-10 bouts on Sunday along with a 17-10 win over No. 10 NYU. The women had a pair of top-10 wins, 18-9 over No. 5 Ohio State and 22-5 to No. 9 Northwestern, and the lone loss came to No. 2 Notre Dame, 16-11.
The Tigers will head to LIU for a day of duals next Sunday, Jan. 29. It will be the teams' final competition before the Ivy League round-robin, an event that will decide the Ivy League champions at Cornell Feb. 11-12.
