PRINCETON – The Princeton Women's Basketball Team heads to Tennessee to take on Middle Tennessee State on Sunday at 2 p.m.
Got The Stops ...
•The Princeton Women's Basketball Team used a career-high 26 points from Madison St. Rose to take down the Duquesne Dukes, 65-57, at Jadwin Gym on Monday.
Princeton's mantra is #GetStops.
It's a staple of head coach Carla' Berube's philosophies.
In the end, the Tigers got stops when it mattered the most.
The defending Ivy League Champions allowed five points and just two made baskets over the final 10 minutes of action, turning a five-point deficit into an eight-point victory.
The Dukes scored the first basket of the frame with 9:36 to go and did not score again until the clock read 2:12.
Seven minutes and 24 seconds without a basket.
#GetStops, indeed.
It's Only One Game, But That's Interesting
•The Tigers' eight blocks put them 10th in the NCAA in blocks per contest. The squad's eight blocks would have been the second most they recorded last season.
•Kaitlyn Chen's seven assists were tied for 38th in the country. She was also one of 12 players to play all 40
minutes in their first game of the season.
•Ellie Mitchell posted 15 rebounds vs. Duquesne, marking her 40th career game with at least 10 rebounds. She posted six as a freshman, 16 as a sophomore, 17 as a junior and one this season.
•The Tigers allowed under 10 points in two quarters vs. Duquesne.
•Kaitlyn Chen is 183 points shy of 1,000 for her career.
