No. 6 Men's Water Polo Advances To NWPC Championship Game With 19-9 Win Over Iona

CAMBRIDGE – The No. 6 Princeton Men's Water Polo Team advanced to the NWPC Championship Game with a 19-9 takedown of the Iona Gaels on Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers ripped the first four goals of the contest and five of the first six tallies, eventually taking a 7-4 lead into the second quarter. Princeton held a six-goal advantage in the second frame before taking a 11-7 lead into halftime.
Head coach Dustin Litvak's crew expanded its lead to six after three frames, 15-9, before opening the fourth quarter with two goals before cruising to a 19-9 victory.
Princeton will play for its third straight NWPC title on Sunday at 1 p.m. against the winner of No. 20 Brown and No. 12 Harvard.
Logan McCarroll led the Tigers with four goals while Roko Pozaric also added a hat trick in the victory. Pozaric is one goal shy of 200 goals in his career.
