Women's Rugby Wraps Up Fall Season Against Dartmouth

PRINCETON, N.J. – Princeton faced off against Dartmouth this weekend in the Tiger's Pride game, celebrating the LGBTQ+ community on the pitch. Although it was a tough last game, we are proud of how far we've come this season and we look forward to our 7s season in the Spring.

First Half
Princeton kicked off to start the half, and then Dartmouth kicked out of bounds. Princeton kept their lineout at the half, and then Dartmouth scored off a penalty. Princeton kicked off, and then Dartmouth had a forward pass. Dartmouth won the scrum and scored on the edge. Dartmouth scored off the next kickoff. Princeton kicked off, and then Dartmouth kicked off a penalty for lineout and scored shortly after. They scored again after the kickoff. Princeton kicked off a penalty and kept their lineout. Dartmouth intercepted the ball and then scored. Dartmouth knocked the ball on the kickoff, and then won the scrum. Dartmouth turned the ball over, but then had a scrum to Dartmouth and scored. Princeton kicked off, and got the ball for an obstruction call. There was a scrum to Princeton, but Dartmouth won and Princeton had a penalty for unbinding. Defensive pressure led Dartmouth to knock the ball, and Princeton won the scrum. Princeton kicked, and Dartmouth intercepted the ball and scored. Dartmouth had a forward pass on the next kickoff, and won the scrum, scoring shortly after. Dartmouth knocked on to a Princeton scrum again, with Princeton winning the scrum but turning the ball over after. Princeton tackled Dartmouth out of bounds, winning the lineout but turning over to a Dartmouth score. We had another lineout to Princeton, won by Dartmouth, and then a Dartmouth try. Dartmouth knocked on the kickoff to a Princeton advantage, but then it was turned over to Dartmouth off a penalty. Dartmouth kicked for lineout, and then Princeton caught the overthrow. Dartmouth poached, and then it was turned over to Princeton again for a penalty. Princeton kicked for a lineout and won, but then turned over to Dartmouth, who kicked out to end the half.

Second Half
Dartmouth kicked off, and then got the turnover and scored. Princeton kicked off, and then had a scrum to Princeton and won it. Malinka Kwemo '27 broke through the defensive line and scored, making her own conversion! Dartmouth kicked off, and then had a scrum to Princeton and won by Dartmouth. Princeton held up Dartmouth's try, and then recovered their own drop kick but turned it over for a Dartmouth score. Dartmouth scored off the next kickoff,
and then had a center scrum after Princeton's kick wasn't 10. Princeton went quick off a penalty and then turned it over to Dartmouth, poached it, and then it was poached by Dartmouth. Penalty to Princeton, and we kicked it for a lineout and won. Princeton kept the ball but was pressured deep into their territory and kicked for clearance. We had a scrum to Princeton, and a penalty in the scrum on Dartmouth. Princeton kicked for lineout and Dartmouth stole it, scoring. Dartmouth scored twice more in quick succession. Dartmouth kicked back on the next kickoff, and then Princeton turned it over but tackled Dartmouth out of bounds for a Princeton lineout. Princeton won the lineout, and then turned the ball over. There was a penalty to Dartmouth, and then a Dartmouth lineout. Dartmouth passed forwards and Princeton won the scrum. Princeton kicked for clearance, and then had a penalty to Dartmouth. Dartmouth
knocked it to a Princeton scrum, which we won. Princeton knocked to a Dartmouth scrum. Then, Princeton had a lineout that was taken by Dartmouth. Princeton got the ball on a penalty and kicked for a lineout, which went to a Dartmouth scrum. Dartmouth scored. Princeton kicked off, and then after a series of turnovers Dartmouth scored.
