Men's Squash Defeats University of Virginia 7-2

Princeton, NJ - The Princeton Men's squash team defeated the University of Virginia Cavaliers 7-2, in a dominant victory on Saturday afternoon in Jadwin Gymnasium.
Princeton started the match off strong, gaining early points in the Tigers' favor at the No. 7 position via a Gordon Lam 3-0 sweep, a 3-0 victory at the No. 6 position from Alastair Cho and a 3-1 victory at the No. 2 position from Karim Elbarbary.
Three more Tiger points resulted from victories by Ahmed Hussein (No. 4), Zain Ahmed (No. 8), and Federico Sosa (No. 9).
Ahmed and Sosa came out with a 3-0 sweep to defeat their Virginia opponents, and Hussein won an exciting four game match 3-1 against Virginia's John Paul Tew.
In Zain Ahmed's last two games, he was able to outscore his opponent 22-6.
At the No. 3 position, Thomas Rosini took the final Tiger win of the match to secure Princeton's victory over the Cavaliers. Rosini defeated Taha Dinan in a 3-1 match. Despite dropping the first game 8-11, Rosini made a major comeback to win three straight games, and gain the Tiger point.
Princeton defeated the University of Virginia with a final score of 7-2. The men will return to Jadwin on Sunday, February 12th at 1:00 p.m. against the Chatham Cougars.
