
Men's Squash Defeats Navy 9-0 on Senior Day

Princeton, NJ - The Princeton men's squash team defeated Navy 9-0, on Saturday afternoon in Jadwin Gymnasium for the team's final home match and regular season match for 2023.
Prior to the match, the Tigers honored senior Daelum Mawji for his senior day and his final home match for the Tigers.
Daelum Mawji (1), Thomas Rosini (2), Alhassan Khalil (3), Alastair Cho (4), Avi Agarwal (6), and Samuel Chiang (8) all swept their Navy opponents 3-0 through three games played.
Sam Chiang offensively dominated in Saturday's match, only dropping four points at the No. 8 position over three games, to outscore Shankar Jambunathan 33-4. This was Chiang's season debut for the Tigers and his first, season victory for Princeton.
James Kontulis at the No. 7 position defeated his Navy opponent within four games, 3-1. This was Kontulis's season debut and first Princeton victory for 2023.
Princeton was able to defeat Navy with a final score of 9-0 and conclude senior day on a high note. With Saturday's victory the Tigers remained undefeated at home for the 2022-23 season, going 8-0 in the Jadwin Gymnasium squash courts.
Although Saturday's victory concludes regular season play for the men, the team will return to play on February 24th at the College Squash Association Team Tournament in Hartford, Connecticut.
