
Kovács Makes Season High 16 Saves As Princeton Falls To No. 3 USC

LOS ANGELES, Calif.- The No. 7 Tigers were back in Los Angeles for a midweek matchup against the No. 3 USC Trojans. A strong defensive first half was not enough for the Tigers as they fell to the Trojans 10-7.
Princeton 7, USC 10
The game between the Tigers and Trojans started off as a defensive battle with each team drawing some early offensive advantages but unable to capitalize. USC recorded the first goal of the game just before the halfway point of the quarter. Enrique Nuño was able to get a goal right back off the pass from JP Ohl.
Princeton fell behind 2-1 after the first eight minutes of play. Kristóf Kovács held off the Trojans' attack in the dying seconds of the before the halftime whistle as the game sat tied thanks to goals from Logan McCarroll and Roko Pozaric helped to tie up the game going into the break. Kovács ended the first half with a whopping 10 saves.
The teams traded goals before Princeton took a 5-4 lead in the third. USC then went on a run that Princeton was unable to come back from to close out the final quarter.
