
Women’s Rugby Hosts Queens On Senior Day

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University women's rugby team scored three times on Senior Day against Queens in its final 15's match of its third season at the varsity level, Sunday at Rickerson Field at Haaga House.
Prior to kick-off, a ceremony was held honoring the Tigers' Class of 2025; Brooke Beers, Erica De San Jorge, Sofie Grouws, Zoë Koniaris, Elizabeth Polubinski, Amelia Sanchirico and Caroline Schückel.
Princeton wraps up its third 15's season at the varsity level with two victories, its first two as varsity program as the Tigers continue gaining momentum for the future.
Amelia Clarke powered her way over the try line in the 38th minute after taking a quick tap from 10 out. The Tigers would trail at the half, 29-7.
The Tigers got off to a strong start in the second half, with Grouws scoring in the 54th minute to make it 36-12. Out a scrum, the Tigers moved the ball through hands quickly leading to Grouws scoring the left corner. Ciara Loughran would score Princeton's third try of the match in the 67th minute after weaving through multiple Queens defenders to make it 48-17, which would end up as the final score of the match.
