PRINCETON, N.J.- Two dominant victories from the No. 6 Princeton men's water polo team helped highlight a great senior day.
The excitement is still going strong with Kristóf Kovács and Gavin Appeldorn picking up weekly honors in the Northeast Water Polo Conference.
Kovács was named the Defensive Player of the Week for the sixth time this season. The goalie made 25 saves and held both opponents to single digit scoring. Kovács had a .625 save percentage and added four assists and two steals.
Appeldorn was named the Rookie of the Week for the first time this season. He recorded five goals, four steals and one assist across the weekend and added three drawn exclusions.
Princeton will travel to Massachusetts to face two NWPC opponents in MIT and No. 15 Harvard. The games are set for 11:30 AM and 5:00 PM respectively.
