Leilani Bender Named Second Team All-NIRA

PRINCETON, N.J. – The National Intercollegiate Rugby Association (NIRA) announced its 2023 fall season postseason awards Wednesday afternoon and Leilani Bender was named Second Team All-NIRA.
Bender, was also named Defensive Player of the Fall Season for 2023, started every first and second half in every match, and had over a 90% tackle completion rate for the fall season. She is a two-year captain and a teammate who is always there in support. Bender has been part of history for the Tigers' young varsity team.
Princeton and Bender open the spring season at Stanford in an XVs match at 10:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. PT.
