Agarwal Advances to Molloy East Final, Rosini Defeats Robertson in Marathon Match
March 09, 2024 | Men's Squash
Avi Agarwal will represent the Princeton men's squash team on Sunday in the Molloy East final at the CSA individual championships at the Specter Center in Philadelphia.
Agarwal was a four-game winner over Virginia's John Paul Tew in the draw's semifinal and will take on Yale's Tad Carney in the final, scheduled for 11:10 a.m.
Thomas Rosini and Hollis Robertson met in the consolation final of the Pool Trophy draw and made the most of it, with the Tiger teammates not just going the distance, but doing so and then some. The Tiger pair alternated wins, with Rosini taking the first and third games and a 2-1 lead into a fourth game that went long before going to Robertson, 16-14. That length was soon dwarfed by the fifth game, which went to Rosini 37-35 before one player had a two-point advantage after the match reached 11.
Draws are available here. Agarwal's match is scheduled for court nine, with the video stream for that court available here.
