Women's Basketball Celebrates AAPI Month

PRINCETON – Brought together by Kaitlyn Chen, the Princeton Women's Basketball Team had a lunch and discussion to celebrate Asian and Pacific American Heritage Month.

The team got together to learn and grow through cultural conversation with Associate Director of Athletics/Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Miles Smith, Jr. The team discussed the importance of celebrating APIDA heritage month around cultural intersectionality.'

"Sharing a meal for Asian American Pacific Islander Month was a great educational experience, offering our team a chance to savor traditions on our plates," said Princeton Women's Basketball Director of Operations Lilly Paro. "We look forward to continuing these immersive experiences annually, deepening our appreciation for the diverse flavors and histories that enrich our team and community."
"It was special to be able to immerse our team in the AAPI culture through a meal that reminded me of being home," said Chen. "I'm glad Ashley, Skye and I were able to celebrate our heritage month with the team."
