October 31, 2025 | General, Men's Soccer, Women's Volleyball
A pair of standout leaders and student-athletes for Princeton University were recently honored as the Fall PNC Athlete Achievers and were presented with their awards at the Fall PVC Luncheon. Lucia Scalamandre (women's volleyball) and Giuliano Fravolini Whitchurch (men's soccer) exemplify what it takes to achieve, serve and lead in the classroom, community and competition.
LUCIA SCALAMANDRE '26 | WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL
Lucia Scalamandre is a senior middle blocker for Princeton volleyball. A former Ivy and ECAC Rookie of the Year and three-time All-League honoree, Scalamandre has helped the Tigers to two Ivy League titles in her career.
Off the court, she represents her team as a Goodwill Ambassador and on the Student-Athlete Service Council, while also supporting young athletes through the Athlete-to-Athlete mentorship program. Additionally, she has served her community through her work with the Department of Housing and Urban Development and My Friend's Place, a nonprofit addressing housing insecurities.

An Academic All-District honoree from San Diego, Calif., Whitchurch is an Economics major with minors in Italian and Optimization & Quantitative Decision Science.
