Women's Volleyball Advances to Ivy Tournament Final for Second Consecutive Season

PRINCETON, N.J. – The #1 seed Princeton University women's volleyball team earned a 3-0 (25-22, 25-15, 25-21) sweep over #4 seed Brown Friday evening inside Dillon Gymnasium to advance to the Ivy League Tournament final for the second consecutive season.
The Bears got off to a fast start, opening the match with a 3-0 and jumping out to a 14-10 lead. Princeton battled back later in the set; with the score tied at 19-19, a kill by McNair ignited a 4-0 run that put the Tigers ahead, 23-19. The final two points of the set came from McNair kills as the Tigers earned the 25-22 triumph over the Bears.
With the score tied 4-4, a Brown attacking error led a 5-0 that put Princeton in front, 9-5. The momentum stated with Princeton throughout the set with a kill by Nutakor extending the Tigers' advantage to double figures at 22-12. Nutakor would also deliver the kill on set point, as the Tigers went up 2-0 in the match after a 25-12 second set victory.
The third set was played to a stalemate at 14-14 but kills by Scalmandre and Shelby Burriss put the Tigers in front 16-14. From there, Princeton would never look back as Scalamandre put down a kill to give the Tigers match point at 24-19. The Bears would add two more points, but McNair finished things off with a kill to give Princeton the win, 25-21 in the set, and 3-0 in the match.

Erin McNair led the Tigers with a match-high 16 kills and 10 digs for her fifth double-double of the season. Valerie Nutakor recorded 14 kills on a .419 hitting percentage and nine digs while Lucia Scalamandre tallied 10 digs on a .429 hitting percentage along with two blocks and two digs. 2025 Ivy Player of the Year Sydney Draper added a match-high 45 assists and five digs, while Sydney Bold compiled a match-high 17 digs."The job's not done.
