No. 2 Men's Squash Defeats No. 5 Virginia in Regular-Season Finale

On a day when the No. 2-ranked Princeton men's squash team recognized its six-member senior class, the Tigers closed out the regular season with an 8-1 win over No. 5 Virginia on Sunday afternoon at the racquet center in Princeton's Meadows Neighborhood.
Princeton will await the draw for the Potter Cup tournament that will determine the team national champion, set to begin March 6 in Philadelphia.
Seven of Princeton's wins came in sweeps, with Ahmed Hussein, Avi Agarwal, Zain Ahmed and Hollis Robertson getting wins at the top four positions in sweeps, Aly Ibrahim doing so at sixth, and Gordon Lam and Yuvraj Wadhwani getting theirs at eighth and ninth. Andrew Glaser won in five games at seventh, taking a 2-0 lead before each of the final three games ended with 11-9 scores.
The match at the top of the lineup was between a Princeton grad and a soon-to-be Princeton grad, with Hussein, a senior, out-dueling former teammate Karim Elbarbary, who is playing a graduate year at Virginia after finishing his Princeton career with three All-American honors.
Princeton recognized its seniors, including Hussein, Ahmed, Lam, Thomas Rosini, Samuel Chiang and James Kontulis, before the match.
