Jalen Travis '24 Selected By Indianapolis Colts in NFL Draft
April 26, 2025 | Football
PRINCETON – Jalen Travis was selected in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts.
Travis (127th overall) is the first Princeton Tiger to be picked in the NFL Draft since Andrei Iosivas was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the sixth round of the 2023 draft (206th overall) and the 17th Tiger overall.
Travis is the highest selection of a Princeton football player in the modern NFL Draft era surpassing Seth DeValve who was picked 138th overall in the fourth round of the 2016 draft by the Cleveland Browns.
The former Tiger recently finished his graduate season at Iowa State. The Cyclones won 11 games including a 42-41 thriller over No. 15 Miami in the Pop-Tarts Bowl. Travis finished with All-Big 12 honorable mention accolades.
Travis was a two-time Second-Team All-Ivy selection at Princeton and earned the Coach Wooden Citizenship Cup in 2024. In his three playing seasons at tackle, he helped the Tigers to two top-two scoring offenses in the Ivy League.
"The Indianapolis Colts are not only getting a tremendous player in Jalen Travis, but an exceptional person and leader as well," said Princeton head coach Bob Surace. "I had the good fortune of drafting and coaching future Hall of Famer Andrew Whitworth 20 years ago. During Jalen's junior year I told every scout I don't have to squint to see similar traits - size, athleticism, balance, work ethic, passion, etc. I am so happy to watch everything Jalen accomplishes in his future."
