Kristóf Kovács Named To Cutino Award Watch List For Second Straight Season

PRINCETON, N.J.- Kristóf Kovács has been named to the Peter J. Cutino Award Watch List as announced by USA Water Polo and The Olympic Club. Kovács was named to the list of the top 20 athletes as submitted by varsity college coaches around the country
The Peter J. Cutino Award, named in honor of the late Hall of Fame coach, recognizes the best player in men's and women's college water polo. This watch list was created in 2022 in an effort to help promote the college game, awareness of the honor, and the excellent play of athletes around the country.
Kovács has racked up 705 career saves, the third most in program history. In his third season with the Tigers, the junior keeper has recorded 126 saves, 12 steals and seven assists.
Through the first three weeks of play for Princeton, Kovács has been named the NWPC Defensive Player of the Week three consecutive times.
Princeton is 10-2 on the season as the Tigers get set for a matchup with the No. 5 Fordham Rams before beginning conference play against Iona and LIU on Saturday.
