Robertson Moves On to CSA Individuals' Round of 16
January 23, 2026 | Men's Squash
Hollis Robertson won his round-of-32 match on Friday night at OpenSquash FiDi and will move on to the CSA Individual Championship's round of 16, set for Saturday at 5:20 p.m.
Robertson, who is seeded sixth and had a first-round bye, battled Drexel's Luhann Groenewald for five games, winning the first, third and fifth games to take the match.
All three Tigers who had first-round matches won them, with Federico Sosa, Aly Ibrahim and Avi Agarwal all winning in sweeps. The second round saw Sosa and Ibrahim push their matches to four games and Agarwal make a comeback bid that fell just short, rallying from down two games to none to force a fifth game before Virginia's John Paul Tew won 11-9 in that last game.
Robertson will take on Penn's Marwan Abdelsalam, seeded 9-12, in the round of 16.
In Saturday's consolation matches, Sosa will meet Cornell's Youssef Sarhan at 1:20 p.m. while Ibrahim will meet Drexel's Guido Lindner and Agarwal will take on Drexel's Nicolas Serna, both at 2:10.
