Princeton Athletics Receives Five Mid-Atlantic Emmy Nominations

Princeton Athletics has received five nominations for the 44th Annual Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards for its continued commitment to providing Princeton fans with best-in-class broadcast and multimedia content. The awards will be presented at the annual ceremony which will be held September 26 at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown. The full list of Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards nominees can be found here.
For the second year in a row, Princeton Athletics has been nominated in the overall "Sports Excellence" category alongside the Philadelphia Eagles.
In addition, four of Princeton's individual video features have been nominated.
A pair of Princeton pieces from its "Beyond The Stripes" series are up for "Sports Story -- Short Form Content" as features on football player Torian Roberts (directed by Keith Egan and Cody Chrusciel) and men's lacrosse player Chad Palumbo (directed by Drew Miller) are nominated.
Egan and Chrusciel showcased Roberts' journey back to the field following a brain hemorrhage.
Miller's "Beyond The Stripes" feature on Chad Palumbo and his journey from a cancer diagnosis in high school to leading Princeton back to the highest levels of the national spotlight served as a jumpstart to ESPN profiling Palumbo during the 2026 NCAA Tournament that Princeton eventually won.
Miller received three nominations in total, adding one in the "Human Interest -- Long Form Content" category for his profile on the lineage of Princeton Softball's #2 jersey.
His third nomination came in the "Human Interest -- Short Form Content" category for his piece showcased at the 2025 Princeton Varsity Club Banquet which included "Reflections From The Class of 2025". Miller was nominated alongside co-producers Dave Turner, Mike Galayda and Aylin Arifkhan.

The five Emmy nominations in 2026 follow a 2025 cycle where Princeton received four nominations and went on to win two awards.
Earlier in 2026, Princeton was honored with three SVG College Sports Media Awards at a ceremony held in Atlanta. Entering the ceremony with eight total nominations, Princeton was honored for Outstanding Live Game Production (Collegiate Athletics – Championship) for its broadcast of a men's ice hockey win over Harvard. "Beyond the Stripes: Torian Roberts", which is nominated for an Emmy took home top honors for Outstanding Special Feature (Collegiate Athletics – Championship) in a category where Princeton accounted for four of the 10 finalists. The final winner was "The Road To St. Andrews" which highlighted the trip to the Home of Golf for Princeton and was honored as Outstanding Cinematic Recap (Collegiate Athletics – Championship).
