Princeton University Athletics

Thursday TigerBlog - And The Questions Are
August 06, 2026 | Tiger Blog
And now there are two weeks until the first Princeton Athletic event of the 2026-27 academic year.
Is that correct? Two weeks? Today is Aug. 6. The first event is women's soccer against Loyola on Aug. 20. Yup. The math checks out.
The first group of Tigers are back on campus. This group will be followed quickly by the rest of the fall teams.
Among yesterday's news was the announcement of the Princeton women's basketball schedule for the coming season, which begins Nov. 2. Is that really fewer than three months away? Again, the math checks out.
Princeton will open its season at home against Belmont in what will be the first game as Tiger head coach Lauren Gosselin. The entire schedule is HERE; TigerBlog will have more about this tomorrow.
Meanwhile, TigerBlog thanks everyone who seemed to enjoy Princeton Athletics Jeopardy yesterday. TB can tell you that it took him way longer to compile the clues than it would have to write a regular entry.
He actually had a handful of other categories in mind before settling on the ones he used. Also, like his attempts at Princeton Athletics Connections, it's hard to find the sweet spot between too easy and impossible.
Anyway, he's definitely going to try this again. Hey, there needs to be a Double Jeopardy round and then a Final Jeopardy clue as well.
