Harrington Named Ivy League Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. — After a career-best performance helped the Princeton University women's volleyball team to a five-set victory over Penn in the Ivy League opener Friday evening, senior Ava Harrington was named Ivy League Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday afternoon.
This is the first weekly award of the season for the Tigers and the first of Harrington's career.
Harrington was a force offensively for Princeton on Friday night, recording a match-high and career-best 17 kills. She also added nine digs, two block assists and a match-high four service aces.
Harrington ranks third on the Tigers with 76 kills and 2.24 kills per set this season, while her 10 service aces lead the team.
Rallying from a 2-0 deficit to defeat rival Penn, Princeton opened Ivy League play with a victory for the second straight year. The Tigers host two matches this weekend, welcoming Columbia Friday at 6 p.m. and Cornell Saturday at 5 p.m. Both matches will be streamed live on ESPN+ (subscription required).
