Scottie Hvidt appeared in 14 games as a senior, starting six and playing to a 4-2 record. He stopped 80 of the 146 shots he faced for a .548 save percentage. Hvidt had four wins, but his two highest save totals came in his two losses, a 15-save performance in a one-goal loss at Bucknell and a 16-save performance against Stanford. Hvidt made 10 saves to pick up his first win of the season in a win over Harvard, and also earned wins over Fordham, George Washington and Bucknell.
Hvidt went 4-2 in nine appearances as a junior. He had a .584 save percentage and contributed five assists and five steals. He made a career-high 17 saves in a win over Iona, which was one of two 10-plus save performances on the season. The other was a 12-save loss against Stanford. Hvidt made nine saves in three games to pick up wins over Santa Clara, Brown and Queens. He also scored two goals and had an assis in the Queens win playing the final quarter in the field.
Hvidt appeared in 12 games as a sophomore, posting a 3-2 record and a .580 save percentage. Hvidt made a season-high eight saves in his first outing against Fordham. He made six saves and five saves in wins over Mercyhurst and MIT. He also picked up a win over Salem, making two saves in a quarter of action, and scoring his first goal later in the game. Hvidt stopped 51 shots during the season.
Hvidt went 2-0 in 10 appearances in the Princeton goal as a freshman. Hvidt made his first appearance against Fordham and got his first win a day later, making nine saves in a win over Iona. Hvidt’s other win came while making four saves against Washington & Jefferson at Southerns. His season-high of 10 saves came in just two quarters of action at UC Santa Cruz. He also contributed 10 assists during the season, including three in a game on two occasions.
Hvidt was a four-year starter in high school at Saint Francis. He was a three-time All-WCAL selection, receiving first team honors as a junior and senior. As a senior, he was the team’s captain and voted the team’s Most Valuable Player. Hvidt, who holds the school’s career saves record with 1,017, was a swimmer in high school as well.
