Ben Reitz netted four goals in 22 appearances for Princeton last season, with all four goals coming in a six-game span. His first came against Salem, and then he scored twice against Queens. He also scored against Penn State Behrend. Reitz scored six goals for Princeton in 2004. He started off the season with a goal in Princeton’s shutout of Fordham and then scored a career-high two goals in Princeton’s ECAC win over Iona. Reitz added goals in three other games.
Reitz was a competitive swimmer at an early age and began playing water polo at age 10. He earned various high school team honors and was a second-team All-America at the Junior Olympics in 1995. Reitz played at the National Youth Team Camp in 1999 and 2000 and was the Paulistano MVP at the Brazilian Junior Nationals in 1998. He also spent one year in the Americorps.
