Nicholas Seaver is Princeton’s leading-returning scorer from a year ago. He had 41 goals to rank second on the team for the second-straight season. Seaver scored in 21 games and scored four goals on two occasions, in a loss to UC San Diego and in a win against Johns Hopkins. Seaver scored in 11 of the team’s first 13 games, including a five game stretch in which he scored 15 goals. Seaver scored six goals during Southerns and three during Easterns. He was named a second-team all-southern and second-team all-eastern selection following the season, and he earned AWPCA All-Academic honors for the third time in his career.
Seaver scored 47 goals as a sophomore. He scored multiple goals in 11 games, including a career-high five goals twice, in wins over Brown and MIT. Seaver scored the quadruple-overtime game-winner against St. Francis in the Eastern championship game and scored goals in six of Princeton’s seven games against ranked Western opponents, including an NCAA tournament goals against Loyola Marymount.
As a freshman, Seaver finished third in steals with 24, and added 18 goals and seven assists. He has been playing water polo for nine years since he watched his brother play at the Rose Bowl. He was an honorable mention All-America, a first-team All-CIF selection and a league MVP in high school. Seaver is a two-time AWPCA All-Academic Team selection.
