Douglas Wigley was a first-team All-South and All-East selection as a senior and was named the Eastern Tournament's Most Valuable Player after helping lead Princeton to its first Eastern title since 2004. Wigley ranked second on the Tigers with 34 goals scored and added nine assists and 21 steals. He scored goals in 18 games during the season, including a season-high four goals against Fordham at ECACs. Wigley added three goals in an early-season win over Johns Hopkins and put together a trio of three-goal games in the postseason, scoring three times in the Southern semifinals against Bucknell and the Eastern opener and semifinal against MIT and Bucknell. Wigley added a goal in the NCAA consolation game win over Loyola Marymount.

Wigley was a ACWPC and CWPA All-Academic selection as a junior. In the pool, Wigley ranked third on the team with 40 goals and also added 10 assists and 13 steals. Wigley had five three-goals games, scoring the hat trick in wins over Brown, Iona, Pacific, Brown and Navy. The latter two coming in the semifinal and championship games of the Eastern Championships. Wigley started the season strong with 14 goals in his first 10 games and finished strong with goals in each of Princeton's last nine contests.

Wigley netted 14 goals in 25 games as a sophomore. He also had three assists and 12 steals. Wigley scored goals in games against Iona, Pepperdine, Harvard, Johns Hopkins and Bucknell. Wigley scored nine goals in 26 appearances as a freshman. Wigley scored two goals in his first collegiate game, a win against Fordham, and added single goals in seven other games, including wins against Navy, Johns Hopkins, Bucknell and Gannon.

Wigley graduated from Sacred Heart Preparatory school with three years of varsity water polo and four years of varsity swimming. He was a three-time All-West Catholic Athletic League selection and a Central Coast Section champion as a junior. Wigley was a National Age Group Championship gold medalist with Pacific Zone Team this summer and was a Junior Olympics Bronze medalist in 2005. Wigley was given his school’s Scholar Athlete Award.
