CHAIN OF COMMAND (In Attendance)
1) Chain of command during severe or catastrophic injury will be as follows:
a) Team Physician (if present)
b) Certified Athletic Trainer
c) Coaching Staff
2) If Team Physician or Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) are ON SITE at time of injury, he/she will take command.
3) If Team Physician or Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) are NOT ON SITE, then the next person on the Chain of Command is in charge.
EMERGENCY PERSONNEL
M/W Ice Hockey: For all intercollegiate events a Certified Athletic Trainer will be on site. A physician will be present for all men's ice hockey games and on call for women's games. For all scheduled practices an ATC be on site.
EMERGENCY COMMUNICATION
Certified Athletic Trainer will access EMS/public safety using campus phones (refer to location of emergency phones). In the event a Certified Athletic Trainer is not in attendance, contact Caldwell Athletic Training Staff or EMS/public safety using campus phones to coordinate any emergency needs. Send designated person to meet ambulance at entrance.
EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT ON SITE
Practices: All emergency equipment will be located in Baker Athletic Training Room.
Intercollegiate Events: Ice, water and a first aid kit will be provided by ATC. All other emergency equipment will be located in Baker Athletic Training Room or supplied by responding EMS.
LOCATION OF AED
An AED will be available through public safety or athletic training staff during all scheduled practices/events.
ACCESS TO VENUE
Baker Rink is located off of Elm Drive. Take Elm Drive to Guard Shack and turn Left into Baker Rink.
LOCATION OF LIGHTNING SHELTER
Baker Rink may be used as a lightning shelter for all event/ practices on 1995 Softball and Poe/Pardee Fields.
