A partnership of Princeton Athletics and the Office of the Dean of the College to support what it takes to
Be A TIGER
and to build the culture and values to Achieve, Serve, and Lead.
The Princeton Athletics Fellows are a community of faculty and staff committed to supporting the student-athlete experience, and to reinforcing the overall educational mission of Princeton University. As a community, and through individual affiliations with specific programs and coaches, the fellows reinforce ties between academic and athletic pursuits, and serve as a resource for student-athletes, coaches, and academic administrators. Fellows are dedicated to harmony between academic and athletic cultures, viewing athletic participation as valuable preparation to Achieve, Serve, and Lead.
Fellows are role models, mentoring the student-athletes on a range of issues that may emerge in their academic, cultural, and personal development. They play a key role in ensuring that values imparted on Princeton’s playing fields and classrooms complement and balance each other. The fellows enhance the values Princeton Athletics promotes: to be accountable and team-oriented, to have integrity, and to be growth-minded, engaged, and respectful.
Princeton Athletics Fellows was founded by Emeritus Director of Athletics Gary Walters ‘67 and inspired by the service of Professor Marvin Bressler. Ford Family Director of Athletics Mollie Marcoux is proud to count the almost two hundred strong Princeton Athletics Fellows as a game-changing “team around the teams” for Princeton Athletics.
