Cheerleading FAQ
Princeton Cheerleading is the Official Spirit Squad of Princeton University. The team is comprised of approximately 20 male and female athletes from across the globe who come from cheerleading, gymnastics and dance backgrounds
Who Do You Cheer For?
Princeton Cheer supports football, men’s and women’s basketball, as well as doing appearances at other campus events.
What is the Time Commitment?
The team practices twice per week with one hour lift during the week. There are typically 1 or 2 games on campus per week. We are focused on making sure every athlete gets the full Princeton experience.
When Are Tryouts?
We offer a Spring tryout each May in-person and virtually for all enrolled students at Princeton. In the Fall, we offer an in-person tryout each September. We do not recruit or offer scholarships for Cheerleading.
