Mike Helou appeared in all 33 games as a senior captain and scored 25 goals on 50 shots. He also added 15 assists, 27 steals and 43 drawn ejections from his position in the set. Helou recorded a apair of three-goal games, netting hat tricks in a win over Fordham and a loss to 11th-ranked Loyola Marymount. Helou added two-goal games against MIT, Navy, Fordham and Iona and had four assists in a win over Iona as well. He had two four-steal games, taking the ball away four times in a home loss to Bucknell and in the Eastern championship game win over Navy. Helou's 43 drawn ejections was a team high and he drew four three times, in wins over MIT, Navy and Fordham. Helou scored a goal in Princeton's win over 10th-ranked UC San Diego at the NCAA Championships for third place.
Helou started all 27 games for the Tigers as a junior and scored 34 goals to rank third on the team in scoring. Helou added 12 assists, 20 steals and drew a team-high 54 ejections. Helou earned his third straight selection to the CWPA Scholar-Athlete Team following the season. Helou scored goals in 19 of Princeton's 27 games during the season and scored a season-high of four goals on three occasions. Those came in wins over George Washington (2) and Redlands. Helou added three-goal outings in a loss to St. Francis at ECACs and a win over Iona. He added three assists in a win over Harvard and had a three-steal game in a loss to Navy. Helou led the team in ejections drawn and drew six in a win over Fordham and five in a win over Harvard.
Helou played in all 28 games as a sophomore and scored nine goals. He added four assists nand 19 steals, while drawing 28 ejections, the third-highest total on the team. Helou scored single goals in nine games during the season, notching goals against Johns Hopkins, Fordham and Brown during the ECAC Championships. He also scored in wins over Bucknell, Redlands, George Washington and Johns Hopkins during the regular season and scored postseason goals against Gannon at Southerns and Bucknell at Easterns. Princeton was 9-0 in games in which Helou scored a goal. He was named to the CWPA All-Academic Team.
Helou appeared in 28 games as a freshman for Princeton. He scored six goals and added 10 assists and steals. Helou was both a ACWPC and CWPA All-Academic Squad member. He scored his first college goal in a win over Brown and finished that game with three goals, an assist, two steals and two ejections drawn. Helou added a two-goal, one-assist game against Bucknell in the Southern semifinals and also scored in a win over George Washington.
Helou helped his team to three-straight MIAA and Eastern Prep championships. He was named All-MIAA, Most Valuable Player of the Eastern Prep Tournament and a member of two All-Tournament teams as he scored 75 goals and had 70 assists last season. A season earlier he scored 122 goals as an All-MIAA selection and Eastern Prep Tournament Most Valuable Player.
