2012: Played in 20 games, starting three ... scored 21 goals and added 12 steals, 10 assists, a block and won three sprints ... had a goal and a steal versus Navy (9/22) and St. Francis (9/30) ... scored twice and added an assist at Bucknell (10/14) ... tallied a pair of goals, two assists, a steal and drew an ejection versus Mercyhurst (11/18).
2011: Played through injuries to appear in 19 games for the Tigers. He scored 18 goals and added 10 assists, 12 steals and two field blocks. Donahue had a season-high four goals in a win over Iona and had multiple goals on five occasions. He added three goals in a loss to Bucknell and had two each in wins over MIT, Connecticut College and Fordham. Donahue opened the season with a goal, three assists and three steals in a win over Santa Clara and added two assists and three steals in the Fordham win. Donahue scored goals in the opening game of Easterns and also tallied a goal in the championship game against Navy. He added an assist and two steals against USC in the NCAA semifinals.
2010: Tied for the team lead with 37 goals in 19 games played as a sophomore. He also added 21 assists, 16 steals, nine drawn ejections and six field blocks. Donahue was a first-team All-Southern selection and earned second-team All-Eastern honors. Donahue scored goals in 17 of the 19 games and recorded 13 multiple-goal games. He scored a season-high of four goals in consecutive wins over Harvard and MIT and scored three times in wins over Santa Clara, Gannon and Johns Hopkins. Donahue added two four-assist games against MIT and Bucknell, both at the Eastern Championships, and had three assists in the Santa Clara win and a regular season win over Bucknell.
Donahue played for St. Mary’s High School and was named to the All-Tournament team at the Cardinal Classic last season. The previous two seasons, he was named to the All-Tournament team at the Eastern Championships. His older sister Megan played water polo at Princeton and graduated in 2006.
