Andrew Borders serves as an Assistant Director of Athletic Communications and began working with the Princeton Office of Athletic Communications in 2005.

During his time at Princeton, Borders has worked with the women’s soccer, women’s basketball, men’s basketball, women's hockey, wrestling, softball, men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s golf, men’s and women’s fencing, and men's and women's squash teams. Entering the 2019-20 school year, all of Borders’ teams had won Ivy League championships or competed in NCAA championship events during his time working with them, and among his most memorable occasions at Princeton are serving as the sole media relations contact for two NCAA Tournament men’s basketball teams, traveling with the women’s soccer team during five NCAA tournament trips including a win over North Carolina in 2017 and a run to that year’s NCAA quarterfinals, four NCAA softball tournament appearances, the first two NCAA tournament wins in women’s tennis program history, the first NCAA appearance for the men’s tennis team in 17 years, and being on-site in San Antonio for the fencing team’s 2013 NCAA team title.

Borders is a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Prior to Princeton, Borders served internship years at Bucknell University and Miami University (Ohio). While at Princeton, he completed the University’s Management Development Certificate Program.

Borders earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from UCLA and completed a master’s degree in communications and information studies at Rutgers. Borders is married with one son, and he served as a member of the Zoning Board of Adjustment in his community and on the board of his neighborhood homeowners' association.
