Dianna Clauss joined the Princeton Campus Recreation team in September 2022. As the Associate Director of Campus Recreation for Programming, she works alongside colleagues to provide a comprehensive competitive sports program (Intramural Sport and Sport Clubs), Group Exercise and Instructional Classes, and the Princeton University Summer Day Camp.
Prior to Princeton, Dianna was the Assistant Director of Recreation Programs and subsequently the Director of Recreation Programs at Rider University for 15 years. At Rider, she managed various recreational offerings such as Intramural Sports, Club Sports, Health and Well-being initiatives, and Special Events. In addition to these responsibilities, she served on various student affairs committees to support student health and well-being, the student conduct process, and fraternity and sorority life. Dianna began her professional collegiate recreation career at Brown University as the Intramural and Facility Coordinator from 2005-2007.
Dianna holds a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers’s University, a master’s degree in Sport Science from University of the Pacific, and a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership with a concentration in Higher Education from Rider University. She is an active member of NIRSA and a certified ACE Health Coach and American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid Instructor. She is also a certified Student Affairs Educator (with a specialization in Campus Recreation) through the Higher Education Consortium for Student Affairs Certification.Â
