Jeff Ballen was promoted to Associate Director of Athletics, Advancement & Athletics Friends Groups in September of 2022. In his current role, Jeff manages the day to day operations for all Athletics Friends Groups, including developing and supporting all teams’ annual fundraising, engagement and stewardship strategies and efforts.
Prior to his arrival at Princeton as Assistant Director of Athletics, Advancement & Athletics Friends Groups in May of 2019, Jeff earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Sports Administration (MSA) at Ohio University, where he worked for the Ohio Bobcat Club and the College of Business Development Department as a Graduate Assistant. Some of his responsibilities in those roles included soliciting gifts for annual campaigns and capital projects, researching and identifying donor prospects, developing collateral materials, and contributing to stewardship programs. Prior to OU, Jeff worked as Basketball Operations Intern from 2009-2010 for the Miami HEAT before being elevated to Basketball Operations Assistant, which he held from 2010-2015. He also served as an Inside Sales Representative for the Washington Wizards as well as an Intern for BDA Sports Management before his time with the Miami HEAT.
A native of Boca Raton, Florida, Jeff holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Florida, where he served on the Recreation Sports Board of Directors as a student. Jeff currently lives in Princeton, New Jersey, with his dog, Oscar.
