The 2025-26 season was one of the most successful in program history, with Nonnenberg helping lead the Tigers to an undefeated record, 11 straight victories, Big Al Invitational and Ivy League titles, a program-best No. 18 CSCAA Dual Meet Ranking, and 14 All-Ivy honors. Princeton also swept the Ivy League High Point awards, with Mitchell Schott earning High Point Swimmer of the Meet honors for the second straight season and Aidan Wang being named High Point Diver of the Meet for the third time. The Tigers saw seven swimmers qualify for the NCAA Championships, where Princeton placed 22nd nationally, the program's best finish since 2012 and highest point total since 1990. Schott became Princeton's first NCAA A-finalist since 2012 and earned First Team All-America honors, while Patrick Dinu and the record-setting 400-yard freestyle relay team also garnered All-America recognition. In addition, 17 Tigers earned CSCAA Scholar All-American honors, highlighting the team's success both in and out of the pool.

In 2024-25, Nonnenberg helped guide the Tigers to a 10-1 overall record, Ivy League Dual Meet Championship, Big Al Invitational title, and Ivy League Championship. Princeton also climbed to No. 23 in the CSCAA Dual Meet Rankings and earned seven All-Ivy honors.

Nonnenberg's first season with Princeton, 2023-24, saw the Tigers featured in the CSCAA Dual Meet Rankings, rising as high as No. 24 in February and win the Ivy League Dual Meet Championship. Nonnenberg also helped lead the Tigers to a close second-place finish at the Ivy League Championships, an 8-3 overall record and All-Ivy League honors in eight events. In the swimming events, First Team honorees included John Ehling in the 1000 freestyle and Noah Sech in the 400 IM while Ehling (500 freestyle) and Tyler Hong (200 IM) collected Second Team honors.

Mia Nonnenberg joined the Princeton men's swimming & diving coaching staff in September 2023 from Penn State, where since August 2021 she had served as an assistant coach.

At Penn State, Nonnenberg assisted the Nittany Lions to 14 new program top-10 performances five school records within the women’s program along with 23 men’s new top-10 performances, an NCAA All-American Honorable Mention and six program records. She led the middle distance and distance group to eight program top-10 program finishes and several best times, and coached athletes internationally to the 2023 World Championships, as well as Bermudan, Swedish and Brazilian top-five finishers in the national championships of their respective countries. Nonnenberg also contributed to both men’s and women’s recruiting through organizing official visits, initial contacts and at-home visits while also managing equipment ordering and inventory allocations, serving as a direct liaison to sales departments.

Nonnenberg served as a Graduate Assistant Swimming Coach at the University of West Florida from August 2019 until May 2021. She co-led the women’s team to winning two New South Intercollegiate Swim Conference titles (2020 and 2021) and assisted in coaching seven NCAA Division II All-American Performances. At West Florida she also monitored student-athlete’s academic standings by collecting progress reports and evaluating study hall hours. In the fall 2020 semester, UWF had the highest team GPA in women’s NCAA Division II swimming & diving (3.81). In addition, Nonnenberg managed administration of travel, fundraising, recruiting weekends, community outreach, team bonding events, compliance reporting, and social media pages.

From October 2020 until March 2021, Nonnenberg was an Assistant Team Manager for the Toronto Titans of the International Swim League (ISL). She coordinated and executed logistics for the coaches, athletes and production teams of the Titans swimming team during the five-week competition and organized and arranged all team travel and competition operations for the team. During her time with the Titans, Nonnenberg engaged with a diverse group of professional and Olympic level athletes and faculty from over 20 countries.

Nonnenberg’s start in coaching came as a Volunteer Swimming Coach at the University of Alabama from September 2018 until July 2019. In this role she assisted coaches in training, primarily the middle-distance stroke group, while directly assisting in coaching an NCAA Champion. Nonnenberg participated in all staff meeting regarding training, recruiting, compliance and administrative responsibilities and attended all regular season competitions along with the SEC Champions and TYR Pro Swim Series Meets.

A 2021 graduate of West Florida with a Master of Science: Physical Education and Human Performance and a 2018 graduate of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Communications, Nonnenberg had a distinguished career with the Crimson Tide as a member of the women’s swimming & diving team. A 2016 US Olympic Trial Top-20 finisher in the 400 IM and 200 butterfly, she was also an Olympic A-Cut qualifier in the 400 IM. Nonnenberg was also a four-time NCAA Qualifier and one-time NCAA All-America Honorable Mention honoree. As both a junior and senior she was a team captain, and Nonnenberg was a former team record holder in the 400 IM, 200 IM, 500 freestyle and 1,650 freestyle in SCM along with the 400 IM, 200 IM and 400 freestyle in LCM.
