Zach Lebovic begins his first season as an assistant coach with the Princeton men's swimming and diving team in 2024-25.
Lebovic joins the Tigers after spending the previous two seasons as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at UC-Santa Barbara where he also served as the head coach of sprints. While with the Gauchos, he coached three swimmers to NCAA "B" cuts, and had swimmers reach both the United States Olympic Trials and the Canadian Olympic Trials. He served as the Recruiting Coordinator for the women's program, identifying and recruiting standout student-athletes who would set numerous program records and win MPSF titles. In addition, his role included serving as lead in terms of all on-campus official visits and he was instrumental in the day-to-day operations of the program in regards to travel, budget, academics and meet operations.
Lebovic also was a part-time coach with the Santa Barbara Swim Club from 2023-24, directing the club's efforts for its 11-12 years old age groups. In addition, he has previous coaching experience at the club level with the Walter Schroeder Aquatic Club (WSAC) in Wisconsin, The Town Club in Wisconsin, and Capo Masters in California.
As a student studying English at Lewis and Clark College in Portland Ore., Lebovic competed on the swim team for all four years, was named captain for his senior season in 2020-21, and was a Northwest Conference Finalist from 2018-20. Prior to this, he was the team captain at his high school, Santa Margarita Catholic.
