Maren Ford ’06 is in her second season as an assistant coach with the Princeton field hockey staff. Ford graduated from Princeton with a degree in psychology and works with the field hockey team while teaching in the area.
In June, Ford was named to USA Field Hockey’s nine-member developmental squad. As a developmental team member, she can be called up for training sessions or other competition opportunities with the U.S. National Team.
During her career at Princeton, Ford was a mainstay in the Tiger midfield and received All-Ivy honors three times. As a senior in 2005, she was a first-team All-Ivy selection while starting all 18 games and ranking second on the team in minutes played. She scored a goal and had two assists. Ford was a second-team All-Ivy pick in both her junior and sophomore seasons. She recorded career highs of eight goals and 19 points in 2003, her sophomore year.
The Lewes, Del., native shared the team’s Thorp Van Dusen Goodfellow ’41 Award with her senior classmates in 2006 as a player that has demonstrated love for the sport, the team and Princeton.
