Chas Dorman enters his sixth year working at Princeton University after joining the Tigers in November of 2019. He served as Assistant Director of Athletics for Communications from 2019-25 and was elevated to Associate Director of Athletics for Communications in January of 2025. He oversees all communications efforts for Princeton's 38-sport athletics program, while serving as primary spokesman for the department and providing day-to-day media relations support for the men's ice hockey, women's lacrosse, men's soccer, and men's and women's cross country programs.

In addition, he serves as a secondary sport administrator for the men's ice hockey and men's lacrosse programs.

Since arriving at Princeton, Dorman has led the department's external messaging surrounding #Princeton500 -- a celebration highlighting Princeton's record 500 Ivy League championships - as well as a year-long initiative celebrating 50 Years of Women's Athletics at the University during the 2020-21 academic year. In addition, he coordinated the promotion and public relations surrounding Princeton's 19 #TigersInTokyo during the 2020 Olympics and Paralympics as well as #TigersInBeijing which celebrated Princeton's seven Winter Olympians and Paralympians in 2022. He also served as Athletics' representative on University-wide communications subcommittees regarding COVID-19 messaging.

Dorman has been part of a rebranding effort in Princeton's External Relations team alongside colleagues in marketing, multimedia and ticketing to streamline all promotional and social media efforts across sports to increase brand awareness and affinity, with specific focus on photography and graphic design. In addition he has provided support to Learfield IMG College on front-facing, revenue-generating digital and social media campaigns.

Dorman came to Princeton from inside the Ivy League following more than a decade in the Athletic Communications office at Penn. Most recently, Dorman served as the Associate Director of Athletic Communications/Director of Social Media for the Quakers where he oversaw all social media content for the department and provided day-to-day media relations support for the football, men's lacrosse and wrestling programs. Highlights from Dorman's time with the Quakers include promotion of record-breaking football standout Justin Watson en route to his NFL Draft selection by Tampa Bay in 2018, leading the PR efforts during Penn's 2019 NCAA Quarterfinal run in men's lacrosse, and promotion of multiple All-American wrestlers. In 2017, Dorman was named National Wrestling Media Association Division I SID of the Year.

Prior to elevating to the role of Director of Social Media, Dorman oversaw all media relations aspects for The Penn Relays from 2010-16 in addition to his sport assignments. While with The Penn Relays, Dorman handled media credentialing for 400+ international media members each year, oversaw media room operations, and moderated press conferences for the largest non-Olympic track and field meet. Highlighted by Usain Bolt's involvement in USA vs. The World in 2010, Dorman was instrumental in managing on-site partnerships with USA Track and Field and its partners during the Relays each year.

Dorman started his Athletic Communications career as an intern at Penn from 2007-09. After a brief stint at Lebanon Valley College from August-December in 2009, he returned to Philadelphia and Penn in January of 2010 as Associate Director of Athletic Communications.

An active member of College Sports Communicatore, Dorman has spoken at multiple CSC Conventions and sits on the CSC Membership Recognition Week Committee. In 2020, Dorman was named the recipient of then-CoSIDA's "Rising Star" Award for the University Division.

Dorman and his wife, Emily, who is is Head Athletic Trainer at Princeton, reside in Plymouth Meeting, Pa. with their twin seven-year olds, William and Charlotte.
