Men's Volleyball Team Opens Season With 1-2 Trip

The men's volleyball team opened its season up with a victory over La Verne before falling to Cal-Irvine and Cal-Baptist during a road trip to the Golden State last week.
In the first match, Princeton had four players with double-digits in kills as the Tigers swept La Verne 3-0. Junior Kevin Roche led the way with 15 kills while classmate Steve Cooper had 14 kills. Dennis Alshuler made his collegiate debut with 13 kills while junior Ryan Black added 10 more in the win.
Cal-Irvine won a pair of tight games before winning the third game 15-5 in a sweep of Princeton the next day. Senior captain Jason Morrow led the way with 66 assists and 12 digs while Cooper had 18 kills and one error for a match-high .607 attack percentage.
Steve Cooper had 13 kills in the loss to Cal-Baptist. The Tigers will debut at Jadwin Gym on Feb. 9, when they battle New York University at 6:30 p.m.
