PRINCETON, N.J. - Following its tough 3-2 loss to Juniata on Saturday, the men's volleyball team needed a big win to get its confidence back. Princeton got that when it defeated Springfield 3-0 Monday night.
Effective hitting was crucial, as three players achieved at least a .300 attack percentage. Leading the way was Ryan Black (Jr., Webster, N.Y.) who killed 17 of 23 balls and had only one error for a .696 attack percentage. Steve Cooper (Jr., Webster, N.Y.) also had 17 kills while Dennis Alshuler (Fr., Newport Beach, Calif.) had 16 kills and a .652 attack percentage.
Jason Morrow (Sr., Los Angeles, Calif.) had 59 assists.
Princeton (5-5, 3-3) is at NYU Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
