Fifth Game Dooms Men's Volleyball Team Again

For the third time this season, the men's volleyball team has needed a fifth game to decide a match. Rally scoring continued to be unkind to Princeton, which has dropped each of those five-game matches, including Tuesday's 3-2 loss at George Mason.
The Tigers fall to 6-7 overall and 2-5 in the EIVA Tait Division. They are getting dangerously close to dropping out of the conference postseason picture (the top six teams in the division reach the playoffs).
Dennis Alshuler (Fr., Newport Beach, Calif.) led Princeton with 24 kills while Steve Cooper (Jr., Webster, N.Y.) had 22 kills. Ryan Black (Jr., Webster, N.Y.) added 15 kills and had a team-high .440 attack percentage.
Jason Morrow (Sr., Los Angeles, Calif.) recorded 71 assists and 14 digs, both team highs.
Princeton plays Wednesday night at Southampton, one of two Tait Division teams Princeton owns a win against (NJIT is the other). The Tigers travel to Rutgers-Newark on Saturday before taking a 20-day break.
