Men's Water Polo Defeats Gannon To Open Southern Championships

PRINCETON, N.J. - Nine different players registered at least one goal as the Princeton men's water polo team defeated Gannon 13-5 to open play at the Southern Championships, hosted by the U.S. Naval Academy.
Sophomore Chris Armato (Long Beach, Calif.) and sophomore Dan Holligan (Walnut Creek, Calif.) each scored two goals for the Tigers. Senior co-captain Jon Pharris (Newport Beach, Calif.) and freshmen Peter Sabbatini (Annapolis, Md.), both goalies, also added two goals apiece to the Princeton attack.
The Orange and Black will face Mercyhurst tomorrow at 10:15 a.m.
